Nate Birt started his career in journalism as a reporter and editor for his high school newspaper in Niwot, Colo. For the past 10 years, he has worked as a journalism professional and now serves as managing editor of Top Producer, a farm business magazine within the Farm Journal Media family. He recently began covering eco-efficiency and organic supply chains with attention to helping farmers and food companies identify ways to build economic value and environmentally sustainable practices. Nate has worked for AOL/Patch.com, the Detroit Free Press, The Washington Post, the Boonville (Mo.) Daily News, Visual.ly, ScribbleLive, Credit Sesame, the Columbia (Mo.) Tribune, the Columbia Missourian and the Boulder (Colo.) Daily Camera. He holds a master’s in journalism from the University of Missouri.
