College students from across the country will convene in St. Louis for the AgChat Foundation’s 2017 Collegiate Congress. Participants will network with top-tier agricultural communicators and influencers while gaining hands-on experience in personal and professional growth.

“The National Collegiate Congress was an event I attended as a senior. The experience provided interactions with fellow students and professionals I knew from online or other organizations,” said Natalina Sents, 2016 Collegiate Congress alumna and 2017 Collegiate Congress planning committee member. “The professional connections helped springboard me into the next chapter of my ag advocacy, the Why I Farm Roadtrip. Serving as a committee member is an opportunity to give back and share this experience with students.”

Sessions will focus on expanding agvocacy communications including written and media instruction. Attendees will hone their professional development skills through a Linkedin workshop with Tim Hammerich of AgGrad.

The event, hosted at Monsanto Headquarters, will feature keynote speakers Chris Novak, Chief Executive Officer of the National Corn Growers Association, a grower-led trade association with offices in St. Louis and Washington and Vance Crowe, Director of Millennial Engagement at Monsanto.
